Second Beach Engagement

Second Beach is one of my favorite places to take photos on the Washington coast! The trailhead starts in La Push, on the Quileute Indian Reservation. (If that sounds familiar, thank Twilight!) Naturally, there is also a First Beach, which is accessible via cars, and even a Third Beach. But Second Beach is my personal favorite because the hike is shorter and the views are a bit more photogenic—large rock formations right off the coast line make a stunning backdrop! If you choose this location for your photos, expect it to be rainy most days, and busy during the short window of sunny weather at the height of summer. My personal favorite time to come here is the off-season (November-April), when the sun is setting earlier in the evening and the cloud cover offers moody PNW vibes.
