This sunrise elopement in the mountains began with star photos at Picture Lake, followed by a ceremony at Artist Point, and then a hike along the Chain Lakes Trail to see more of the beautiful Mount Baker National Forest.

This hiking elopement at Mount Baker, near Bellingham, took place in mid-October as the first snow of the year coated Mount Shuksan with a layer of snow. The dog-friendly ceremony took place as a mild storm rolled in. Photos are from Picture Lake and Artist Point.

Taylor & Piper’s sunset hiking elopement in the North Cascades began with a row around at Twin Lakes and continued up the trail to Winchester Mountain Lookout. The evening turned out to be one of the most beautiful cotton candy skies colorful sunsets I’ve ever seen!

Looking for an epic place to elope? Artist Point has an amazing view of Yosemite Valley that is best at sunrise. To witness the sun rising above Half Dome you can hike to from a trailhead near Tunnel View during the summer, but you have to start around 3 a.m. It’s a wedding venue for adventurous souls!
