Engagement Photos at Mount Rainier
Planning this Mount Rainier proposal and engagement was an adventure. Tadeas reached out to me a couple weeks before coming to Washington with his girlfriend Maryann. He explained to me that he wanted a location both accessible and private, beautiful and unique. The complication to that was the date—a holiday weekend.
Mount Rainier was his top location choice. The week before there was a significant amount of wildfire smoke in the mountains, so we did discuss backup options. But then it rained and the day-of result was clear skies and ideal weather.
The exact location of the proposal was a decision made that morning. I worked with Tadeas to find a general location and view, but then I recieved a text from him that he’d found the perfect overlook on a hike. I used the images he sent in that text to find him and Maryann enjoying a picnic with a stunning view of Paradise.
I remained hidden out of sight taking photos until after the proposal, then came forward to introduce myself to Maryann and followup the proposal with an engagement session. We spent the next hour enjoying views of Mount Rainier as the sun set.
