Snowy Mount Baker Elopement

The road up to Artist Point closes the last 2.6 miles of Highway 542 around mid-October each year. Ceinwen & Christopher planned their elopement only a couple weeks out, and despite mostly good weather the road ended up closing just the day before they eloped! We parked at the closed gate and hiked up instead, which ended up being a beautiful adventure that enhanced their elopement experience. When we reached the top of the road, a light snow began falling and continued throughout their just-us ceremony.

We began the day at Picture Lake, followed by an Artist Point ceremony, and ended with hot chocolate back at the Mount Baker National Forest Ranger Station just outside Glacier, WA. It was a stunningly beautiful day!
